An Invitation to a new Midwifery Forum for Internationally-educated midwives

All internationally-educated midwives (IEM) are welcome to a new national Midwifery Forum who are expected to arrive by the 31st July 2022. This will be chaired by the CMidO National Lead for Equality, Wendy Olayiwola, and sits under the CNO/CMidO Black Asian and Ethnic Minority  Strategic Advisory Group, (Midwifery Forum).

The Midwifery Forum will link closely with the National Maternity IR team, and will be an opportunity to: listen to our IEM’s voice, provide support and key updates, signpost to relevant resources, and more.

Professor Jacqueline Dunkley-Bent , Chief Midwifery Officer for England, will address our internationally educated midwives, welcome those that have recently joined the NHS or are about to do so.
