Pastoral & Professional Support

At Guys’ and St Thomas NHS Foundation Trust, we are proud of what we do and we value our staff. We provide Pastoral Support for all our staff. Our overseas nurses will be provided with accommodation, a welcome pack with basic necessities. We will meet you upon arrival and will support you with what you need to settle in the country and your new role.

We are open to dialogue and we are happy to discuss and provide solutions to difficulties that may arise. You will have robust induction process and support to pass your OSCE. We will never stop supporting you. We have many development program in place which are accessible to all our staff.

Our Academy aims to develop a team of practitioners, with knowledge and skills to care for patients within Theatres, Anaesthesia and Perioperative Medicine (TAP), recognising the commitments of our staff and rewarding achievements.

Local Area Information

Running alongside the river Thames is the South Bank, a popular entertainment, commercial and urban parkland district of Central London. Both of our hospital campuses are based at either end of the district and are easy to travel between to see the sights, with Guy’s located at London Bridge and St Thomas’ at Westminster Bridge (Waterloo).

River and Cycle Hire Services

Transport for London (TfL) also provides river boat services that run near our hospitals and a cycle hire service, where you can collect and return bikes at various docking stations.
