The Hillingdon Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust is the only acute Trust in the London Borough of Hillingdon, providing services from two sites in the diverse and vibrant North West London. We are located near to Heathrow Airport, in the second largest London Borough which has 49 award winning green open spaces. There are excellent transport links into Central London and the hospitals are well served by public transport. There are plans underway for a new, state-of-the-art hospital which is due to open in 2025. Mount Vernon Treatment Centre, situated in Mount Vernon Hospital near Northwood, provides routine elective surgery and outpatient clinics. The Trust provides clinical services to over half a million patients per year, including over 94,000 emergency department attendances and employs over 3500 staff. We are currently in a period of transformational change and this is a fantastic opportunity to play a part in our evolution and for you to evolve professionally.

Pastoral & Professional Support

The Hillingdon Hospitals Trust provides dedicated pastoral care for all of our staff. Our overseas nursing recruits are provided with accommodation and are met at the airport and helped to get settled in. We ensure your transition into our hospital is as smooth as possible, we will help you with visas, bank accounts and anything else you need to settle into life near the capital. We will also help you settle into the local area and orientate you to the Trust. Your initial few weeks will be induction, settling into day to day life and OSCE preparation, supported by our dedicated Nurse Education Team. The development and support doesn’t stop after you have passed your OSCE exam, we have dedicated supervision, mentorship and structured progression to support your learning and development.
